The Kinaway Fashion & Textiles Program is a new program that supports Victorian First Nations artists and business owners interested in developing and growing a fashion and textiles based business.


The ‘Kinaway Fashion & Textiles Program’ seeks to increase the number of Aboriginal people doing business in fashion and textiles. This program aims to improve fashion and textile design skills, manufacturing and production skills, business operations and commercial outcomes for Aboriginal people, designers and artists in the fashion and textile sector

The program provides First Nations people and businesses in Victoria access to a range of programs, workshops and events that help to engage and develop opportunities in fashion and textiles.


The program will have a range of opportunities to participate in and they will be listed below.

  1. Kinaway’s International Fashion Development Program

Kinaway is calling for expressions of interest to participate in a new fashion and textiles accelerator pilot program starting in August. This intensive program will help participants develop and grow a sustainable fashion or textiles brand through skilling people in design, manufacturing and marketing processes. The program. will create momentum in the development of pathways for artists, small business, employment and other industry opportunities within the Fashion industry both in Australia and globally.
