How has Rodney Mark engaged with the Indigenous sector? What actions have been taken toward reconciliation?

We have only recently begun to engage with the Indigenous sector. We have developed a robust Indigenous and social procurement which is now in effect. Since joining Kinaway we have engaged with many different Indigenous businesses and are looking to add more into our operation and supply chain.

Why did Rodney Mark decide to partner with Kinaway?

One of the biggest draw cards for us to join Kinaway was the idea of forming partnerships with businesses rather than it simply being transactional. We love the idea that we can work and form partnerships with different businesses within and outside of our industry.

What is Rodney Mark’s mission or aim in supporting the Indigenous economy? How will Kinaway Member’s benefit from this partnership?

Our aim is to engage with as many Indigenous businesses and social enterprises as possible. Wherever possible and practical we want to work with these businesses in our supply chain and operations. Working together and creating partnerships and sharing our expertise and knowledge provides benefits beyond financial benefits.

How do Rodney Mark hope to benefit from this partnership with Kinaway?

More and more customers are asking for engagement with Indigenous businesses and social enterprises. By forming long lasting relationships with Indigenous businesses we can better serve our customers. Partnering and mentoring Indigenous businesses will be a great benefit to us when we are submitting tenders. Working closely with Indigenous businesses and being able to partner with them when tendering for contracts will give us a competitive edge.
